Hello,
We have two 3560G-TS-E running 12.2(35)se2, configured as HSRP. Both are running ntp config "ntp peer 210.72.145.44" and it's pretty well that they get the correct time. Yesterday I upgraded the second device to IOS 12.2(58)se2 and ntp doesn't work now. I checked doc that 12.2(58)se2 runs ntp default version 4 so I change to "ntp peer 210.72.145.44 version 3" but still not work.
I put here "show ntp" result for different IOS.
Could someone help me? Thanks.

Try looking at the NTP pool for China. See if you can get to these:

Hi Jimmy,
Did you check if you can reach the server from the switch after the upgrade?
Best regards,
Alex

Hi Alexander,
The time server doesn't allow ping but as I posted that I have another 3560G in the same vlan, working same ntp well.

IOS version 12.2(58)SE (and later) and 15.0(1)SE (and later) takes exactly 10 minutes to synchronize (after a reboot or power up) to an NTP source. Earlier IOS versions such as 12.2(55)SE take about 3 minutes.

Hello,
Since this is a hot-standby device, I reloaded it. But many 10 minutes passed, the time is still not sync. The only difference is IOS upgrade. What else could be missing?

Please post the output to the command "sh ntp a".

Hello Leo,
I selected one ntp server from that link and now it works. Thanks.

Thanks. Still don't know why the official China NTP server is down. I'd be expecting that they replace it with something else.

Jimmy,
You can configure multiple SNTP/NTP servers so if one fails the others can take over.
ntp server A.B.C.D prefer
ntp server 1.1.1.1
ntp server 2.3.5.6
