[3650 maximum HSRP groups]

Hi,

Is there a maximum of HSRP instances in a 3650 like there used to be in a 3560?

Can't find any trace of this in the configuration guide?

Hi,

The range for HSRP groups is 0-255

• (Optional) group-number- The group number on the interface for which HSRP is being enabled. The range is 0 to 255; the default is 0. If there is only one HSRP group, you do not need to enter a group number.

Hi, Reza:

Thanks for your reply, but if you look at the 3560 config guide it says the same but describes a limit of 32 instances of HSRP.
So, you can use numbers between 0-255, but only for 32 total “groupings”. While you are correct, what I’d like to know is if there is such a limit of grouping like in the 3560.
