Hi Everyone,
One of our customers has recently returned a 3650 switch claiming it to be in non-working condition. No further information was provided.
I started off with basic POST test and it didn't shoot up any error whatsoever.
Stored system POST messages:
Switch 1
---------
POST: CRYPTO Tests : Begin
POST: CRYPTO Tests : End, Status Passed
POST: PHY Loopback: loopback Test : Begin
POST: PHY Loopback: loopback Test : End, Status Passed
POST: Inline Power Controller Tests : Begin
POST: Inline Power Controller Tests : End, Status Passed
POST: Thermal, Temperature Tests : Begin
POST: Thermal, Temperature Tests : End, Status Passed
POST: Thermal, Fan Tests : Begin
POST: Thermal, Fan Tests : End, Status Passed
POST: SIF Tests : Begin
POST: SIF Tests : End, Status Passed
I then ran diagnostics and found a strange error msg:
May 15 11:29:32.151: %DIAG-6-TEST_RUNNING: switch 1: Running DiagGoldPktTest{ID=1} ...
*May 15 11:29:32.248: %DIAG-6-TEST_OK: switch 1: DiagGoldPktTest{ID=1} has completed successfully

*May 15 11:29:37.442: %STACKMGR-1-RELOAD_REQUEST: 1 stack-mgr: Received reload request for switch 1, reason GOLD Memory Test
I would be grateful if someone can shed some light on this error and if this is significant enough to get my device RMA'ed?
Thank you in advance.
Regards,
ee

Hello,
couldn't find any bugs...
Was the switch part of a stack, or standalone ? Does the error still show after a reset (see link below) ?
