3750 runs low memory too often. The current memory is 128MB. Switch almost fully populated with ip phones/PCs. Is this an IOS bug? Running IOS is C3750-IPSERVICES-M), Version 12.2(25)SEE3

Hello Keith,
use sh proc mem to see what processes are using the memory.
Have you got any routing protocol running on it ?
Security measures like Dynamic ARP inspection, DHCP snooping and so on ?
802.1X ?
If the switch is used as a simple L2 switch with no additional features it should be fine and quiet about memory.
If this is the case I would think of an IOS upgrade to 12.2(46)SE or 12.2(44)SE.
Hope to help

Giuseppe,
We're using the switch as L3 and running the following on the:
OSPF
802.1x
AAA - Radius/Tacacs
L3 Portchannels
ACLs
MQC
And that's pretty much what we running on the box.
Perhaps i should ugrade to later IOS.

Hello Keith,
how many OSPF routes are in the db ?
use
sh ip ospf summary
if in the order of thousands you should think to put it in an OSPF stub area but you likely have already it in a stub area.
if you like you can post the sh proc mem to see what are the processes that uses more memory.
Copy it to a text file with .csv extension import it in a spreadsheet and order based on memory usage
(I don't rembember is a sh proc mem sorted option exists)
Hope to help

Giuseppe,
My area is stub and I have less than 100 routes in the db. See the top memory users on the switch below,
HRPC qos request
HQM Stack Proces
RedEarth Tx Mana
Hulc LED Process
*Init*
SNMP ENGINE
And just for interest sake , there is no command sh ip ospf summary, but sh ip ospf summary-address.

Hello Keith,
sorry for the mistake
the right command should be
sh ip ospf database summary
However, OSPF is not an issue in your scenario.
I would go for an IOS upgrade
Hope to help
Giuseppe
