Hi.. got a 3750 Switch.. Followed details for reset via console etc..

then accessed it via web portal on 10.0.0.1 and changed to my Lan range,  192.168.0.199 Gateway ..0.1

and rebooted and can see it and connect to it even through another pc on another switch on the lan. but wont access to wan.

any ideas, must be something simple.

not an expert on this stuff hence struggling..

Thanks in advance..

Hi there,

You mention WAN in your post. Does the WAN device have an interface in the 192.168.0.0/24 subnet? The gateway address 192.168.0.199 is that switch or the WAN device? If it is the switch and you are using it for routing, does it have a default route directing traffic to the WAN device.

Please share the output from these commands:

sh ip int br

sh ip route

cheers,

Seb.

hi..

Its just on a simple network at home..

got normal router on 192.168.0.1

managed to reset switch to now be on 0.199 (and can access via IE)

But it wont let any traffic through it to the internet .

sh ip int br

says..

Vlan 192.168.0.199  yes. NVRAM up down

all rest say unassigned yes unset down down

sh ip route says

Default gw 192.168.0.1

ICMP redirect cache is empty

if you have 5 mins could you remote and sort for me for a beer?

Can you share the entire running config of the switch, and tell us which switchport the ISP router is connected to?

cheers,

Seb.

Hi,

Please share the running configuration.
