3750 Stack - Changing stack member numbers

Hi all,

I've got a 3750 stack with a 3750-48p being switch 1 and a 3750-12s being switch 2 and switch 2 is the master. I would like to change the stack member numbers. I would like the 3750-12s to be switch 1 and the 3750-48p to be switch 2. I undertand I will have to reboot the stack for the change to take affect but here are my questions:

- How would this change affect the stack running-config ?

- will the switchport config follow the change ?

switch 1 provision ws-c3750-48p

switch 2 provision ws-c3750g-12s

Thanks all in advance !!!

D.

switch 2 renumber 1

switch 1 renumber 2

reload slot 1

reload slot 2

It should automatically switch the interface configuration.

If you have fa1/0/25 it will now be fa2/0/25.

You may then need to make the the priority numbers are correct to elect the specific master.
