3750 stacking compatibility

Hi all:

Right now there are three siwtch with one stack in the production environment. They are WS-C3750-48PS-S and its version is c3750-advipservicesk9-mz.122-46.SE. Also additinoal 3750 switches will be added to this stack. New switches are WS-C3750X-48P and its version is c3750e-universalk9-mz.122-53.SE2. Are they stacked together? when I show version on new switches, I could find the following outpout"License Level: ipbase". Does It mean I will downgrade advipservices as ipbase from my old switch? I will apprecaite it for any feedback.

Hi,

No, you don't need to downgrade the image.  Since you have already paid for advipservicesk9 image, you can just load the same exact IOS version and the same license that you have should apply to the whole stack.  If not you may have to reapply the license, but you should not need to downgrade.

So does it menas I would upgrade ios from universalk9 to advancedk9?
