3750-X Release Trains: Version 15.2(3)E4 Availibility

Hi,

will there be a Release IOS version 15.2(3)E4 Release for Catalyst 3560-X/3750-X or does it end with IOS version 15.2(3)E3 ?

Is it recommend to upgrade to IOS 15.2(4)ED or downgrade to 15.2(2)MD in respect to get security fixes or fixes for stability issues (no special features of 15.2(3) needed) ?

Hi,

There is no 5.2(3)E4 Release.  The latest which also recommended by Cisco is 150-2.SE10.

Hi,

we cannot use 150-2.SE10 because of MACSEC problems and installed 15.2(3)E3 after recommendation of Cisco. We have specific troubles with CSCux57150 (RSTP Message Age exceeds Max Age of 20) with is not fixed in 15.2(3)E3.

Hello Krestin,

You are right, there is no 15.2(3)E4 for 3750X because 15.2(3)E4 onwards is only for NG3K platforms like 3850, 3650s. 

CSCux57150 is fixed in 15.2(2)E5 as well (don't think this is a downgrade from 15.2(3)E releases, it is a different train) , so if you are concerned about this defect then you may chose to change the software to any releases after 15.2(2)E4.
