We are using a few 3750G-12S switches in the distribution layer, all fine and dandy
But it's getting a bit old, and I would like 10Ge uplinks, dual power and a few more ports in the switch.
That brings me to the question: Any rumors of a 3750-X series SFP-based switch?
It could be a 24 (or 48) port SFP + Network Module or maybe a 1RU 3750-X with room for 4-5 Network modules. That would give a great flexibility allowing 10Ge also downstream to a few selected access-layer switches with high bandwidth demand.

Hi Tommy,
Even the new 3750x or 3560x do not come with 24 or 48 port SFPs. They all come with 24 or 48 port 10/100/1000 and a couple of 10Gig or 4 1Gig SFPs for uplinks.
There is not really that much of demand for access layer switches with 24 or 48 port Gig SFPs. If your end users workstations have Fiber NICs then you will need to use a media converter or chassis based device i.e. 4500, 6500 with 24 or 48 port SFP blades.

Hello,
What about a 4900M?
Supports 10Gb, can add modules of 20 way 1GbE copper, dual power, does EIGRP stub with std license ?
Might be worth a look

WS-C3560E-12D has 12 X2 10 Gigabit Ethernet ports.
You can connect one or more of the 10Gb to the 3750X. WS-C3560E-12D is also cheaper than the 4900M and being an "E" it should support dual power supplies.
