All,
I currently have 12.2(53)SE2 installed on our 3750 Stack. Looking at 12.2(58)SE2 for an upgrade and noticed that the release date is July of 2011. Is the 12.2 track not being upgraded any longer for the 3750s? Here is a dumb question…. What is the difference between 12.2 and 15.0 for IOS? Thanks for the help!

Hi David,
You are correct. There is no more upgrade to 12.2(X) any more. All the updates are all in IOS 15 now. As for the difference between 12 and 15, not much. 15 has the same look and feel as the other version.

There is 12.2.55-SE8, released 28-JUN-2013.

Currently there are 2 Versions maintained
12.2(55)SE8 and 15.0(2)SE4
The 12.2(58) was dropped for the 15.0-Versions
With your 3750 you can use the 15.0(2)SE4 without problems - but there are some differences to the 12.2-Versions.
If you don't want to risk changes in your configuration I would recommend to use the 12.2(55)SE8.
12.2(55)SE8 is also better for older switches running with 64 MB Ram or switches which are no longer maintained, just as the Cisco 2350-series.
