3750x 48ts IOS not booting

We have a 3750x 48ts. When I tried to update the IOS with 3750e-universalk9-mz.152-4.E5.bin, it fails to boot.

If I try 3750e-universalk9-mz.152-1.E1.bin, it boots. I've downloaded the newer image a couple of times now and still the same result.... no boot.

This switch is destined for a stack with 152-4.E5.bin so I suspect adding it to a stack will result in the IOS being updated and it failing to boot again.

I know I can downgrade the stack but it's a pain.....

Any ideas why the newer image won't boot?

I was not able to see any solution/ fix for the given issue on the post, did you got to know the issue or fix?

I recently tried to upgrade 3705X with same IOS version and got similar error

Had verified the IOS image before the upgrade

Background

was trying to upgrade SW - WS-C3750X-48PF-L IOS from "c3750e-universalk9-mz.150-2.SE10.bin"- to "c3750e-universalk9-mz.152-4.E6.bin" but encountered a similar issue.

when logged into the switch via OOB, the switch was in ROMMON mode - tried to boot the switch again with same IOS - "c3750e-universalk9-mz.152-4.E6.bin" but it kept failing, so had to roll back to the old working IOS.

Below are the Logs from the switch when trying to load 15.2(4)E6 and it kept failing

switch:

when the switch came online I could not see anything on the device log

I had 2 such switches, one got upgraded without any issue while this one had the above issue

I could notice few Hardware and Version different on both

Device 1 was one which had no issue where as the Device 2 had the issue

Has anyone solved this problem meanwhile?

I have the same isse on Cat3750X-12S with

File "flash:/c3750e-universalk9-mz.152-4.E8.bin" uncompressed and installed, entry point: 0x3000
executing...
Boot process failed...

The system is unable to boot automatically. The BOOT
environment variable needs to be set to a bootable
image.

15.0(2)SE11 works fine on this Switch.

the switch is working fine with 15.0(2) but no 15.2.(4) Image is booting,
Booting via usbflash0 failed also

1. Download the latest 12.2(55)SE and get the switch to boot this version;
2. After the switch has booted this version, upgrade to 15.2(4)E8 and see if there are any improvements.
