Hi,
From the Cisco doc's
Error Message PLATFORM_STACKPOWER-6-CABLE_EVENT: Switch [dec] stack power cable [chars][chars] Explanation One of the power cables connected to the switch stack has been inserted or removed. [dec] is the stack member number. The first [chars] is the power cable number: 1 is for the main power cable or 2 is for the redundant power cable. The second [chars] is the power cable status; 1 if the cable is inserted or 2 if the cable is removed. Recommended Action No action is required. I guess you can check this output for more details show stack-power
Check if all cables are properly connected.
cheers
Dejan

Hi,
Can I remove and reinsert the stack power cables whilst the switches are powered on their PDUs or should i power off everything?
I am having the same problem and suspecting cables are not properly connected.
Thanks.

I have same issue and checked STACKWISE cables are plugged correctly

Can I unplug and plug the STACKWISE cable while device is running/power on to test ?
Please suggest.

You can certainly remove stackwise cables while the power is running as long as you don't disconnect both at the same time. But the message that you are seeing seems to refer to the POWER cable, not the the STACKWISE cables.
Check the power cable on switch 1 redundant power supply and perhaps push it in fully

This error message means that you only have ONE out of TWO stack cables connected/detected.

Replaced one of the power cables, which was faulty. The problem is resolved.
