3850-12XS-S interconnect L2

Hello everyone

I have a customer and he want to implement VPLEX and we need to extend L2 to the other location, and i need an advice about the next diagram.

The customer only have 2 server running ESXi and 80 VM total. i choose 3850-12XS for cheep and i don't need a lot of port

3850-12XS-S with SFP-10G-ER to interconnect the DARK FIBER to extend L2 and SFP-10G-SR to interconnect Core. Switch above the core are L3, what do you think about that design and i would like advice about extend L2 with 3850 series.

Hi,

So basically you are extending the vlan(s) from one location to another.  It should work fine as long as the switches are connected to each other using only one link. This way you shouldn't have to worry about spanning tree.
