3850 and VSS

Hi

I think I have read somewhere that the 3850 support VSS, to make 2 switches seem like one.

But I cant finde any configurations guides for it.

Can anyone help?

Hi

No it does not , 6500/6800/4500 is VSS , 3850 supports stacking only which can have up to 8 I think stacked together acting as 1 logical unit , its similar to VSS but not exactly the same

They don't do VSS, but they can be stacked to act as one.

Apparently I was thinking about Cisco StackWise Virtual. And it will be released in IOS 16.3.2

The first release dates should have been Q4Y16, but I guess we havn't seen it yet.

Anyone have any updates on this feature/release?

StackWise Virtual is not in the release notes for 16.3.2 as promised.
