i have two WS-C3850-48XS-S and i connected them via 40G up-links so i need to know how to make the two switches Active/Active ?

Depends what you mean by active/active. 

If you mean stacking, that will not do it.  You would need a stacking cable to stack them together.

What is the topology like?

For the WS-C3850-48XS-S is not stack-able so i need to make the two switches to work Active/Active through the uplinks.

Hi Peter,

To make these two devices Active /Active , Have you decided what role are they going to play on you architecture.

If they going to play Aggregation along with gateway for servers , Then you may design the switches Active /Active HSRP group with dynamic routing with upstream devices.
