Hello,
I see the 3850 switches all have this class-map and the qos queue-softmax command and was wondering if this is the default for 3850 switches. We are not doing QOS on any of our 3850s but wanted to check if this is needed. Thanks.
qos queue-softmax-multiplier 100
!
class-map match-any non-client-nrt-class
!
policy-map port_child_policy
class non-client-nrt-class
bandwidth remaining ratio 10

Hello,
neither of these commands are in there by default, so somebody must have manually put them in there. The class-map/policy-map part is identical to an example used in the document below, that is probably where it is derived from. Either way, if you don't need these, you can safely remove them...

That is not right, On my 3850 with Fuji 16.9.4 firmware there is this configuration out of the stock on the router!

The switch is pre configured with a default class map and a policy map.
Default class map:
Class Map match-any non-client-nrt-class Match non-client-nrt
The above port policy processes all network traffic to the Q3 queue. You can view the class map by executing the show class-map command.
Default policy map:
Policy Map port_child_policy Class non-client-nrt-class bandwidth remaining ratio 10
