3DES not supported

Hi,

On my PIX when i am trying to execute command " crypto ipsec transform-set strong esp-3des esp-sha-hmac " i am getting output saying "VPN-3DES-AES is not enabled with current activation key." so do i have to activate key for this or i am missing something ?

No idea where you got your PIX but indeed there are lots of (older) ones that were originally shipped with only DES capability, not 3DES.

Hi,

Check in your sh ver wheter 3des-aes is enabled and wheter you see a restricted licence .

Check your " Show version " on Pix and check the status for the feature. You currently don have the VPN-3DES-AES licence. Please contact your account rep or mail at licensing@cisco.com for the required license and then upgarde it accordingly.
