Hi,
++ In 4500 switches there is no fabric and it's centralized forwarding .
++ The 4500 Switch-Architecture is such that all the Line cards are connected to the
centralized ASIC in the Supervisor
++ Unfortunately there is no command to show the utilization of the
backplane of the 4500 chassis because of the way the architecture of
the chassis .
++ Each line module has a direct link to the supervisor
modules. So if you have 2 supervisor modules, each of the 6 line cards
have access to a 6Gb full duplex connection to the supervisors which can
handle 96Gbps bandwidth
++ Also the Catalyst 4000 (IOS) does not support CISCO-STACK-MIB.
Therefore, it is not possible to monitor backplane utilization on the
Cat4000 IOS via SNMP.
Hope this answers your questions.
Cheers
Somu
