4500X-16 VSS the disaster that is

So I have made a few posts about our VSS issues , however after a rommon and OS upgrade the base issue still persists.

We are now running on the "gold" release 3.08.08.E.152-4.E8.

After a power down it takes around 9-10 minutes to reach SSO

Once SSO is reached you can no longer ping the SVI addresses.

The only way to solve the problem is turn off one of the 4500's

I am thinking there must be a deep seated configuration issue but when I look at the config it matches the guidelines.

Has anybody had the same or similar issue's ?  Catalyst 4500

Hi,

As we have the standby powered off I cannot run those commands successfully. As we lose all ip connectivity when the standby is powered up I will need to arrange downtime  - which is almost impossible :-(.

Will see what I can arrange.
