Hi everyone, I am upgrading a pair of 4500X in VSS from 3.08 to 3.11, rommon version is "15.0(1r)SG12" I did not see anything in the release notes, that would stop me from doing the upgrade, I am planning to do the following steps.

ActionCommand
Backup current IOScopy bootflash: tftp:
Copy new IOScopy tftp: bootflash:IMAGE
 copy bootflash: slavebootflash:IMAGE
Verifydir bootflash:
 dir slavebootflash:
Verify MD5 Hashverify /md5 bootflash:IMAGE
 verify /md5 slavebootflash:IMAGE
Remove current Boot SystemConfigure terminal no boot system flash bootflash:IMAGE
Verifyshow bootvar Seen in show tech -- register 0x2102
Set new imageConfigure terminal
 boot system flash bootflash:IMAGE
 boot system flash slavebootflash:IMAGE
Save configurationwrite
Reload both Master and Slave

redundancy reload shelf

Does anyone with more experience see anything wrong or am I missing anything?

Thanks

Do you have any experience with the boot system having to specify the slavebootflash and bootflash? or is just setting up bootflash is enough for both?

 no boo system bootflash:old_ios.bin
 boot system bootflash:ROMMON_filename
 boot system bootflash:NEW_IOS_filename.bin
 boot system bootflash:OLD_IOS_filename.bin

VSS you need to use copying files active bootflash: (primary) you can copy from bootflash to slavebootflash: (this is secondary device)

Boot variable only bootflash:

This is irrelevant.  If you want a "backup" of the old IOS-XE file, go and download the file(s) from the Cisco website.

This stage does not provide any benefit.

Just wanted to make sure that the file is there
