4500X - VSS and dual active detection/fast-hello

We have a pair of 4500's running VSS but do not have dual active or fast hello enabled, so a couple of questions.

Is enabling either disruptive to the 4500's VSS pairing ?

Our edge switches are almost all Dell but I do have a couple of 2960X , but all are in port channels , which would be best for dual active or can i use both ?

Can I use the 4500's Fast Ethernet management ports for fast-hello ?

Scott,

The easiest way to do this is to use a regular 1Gig port (not mgmt) and connect the switches back-to-back via fiber or copper for fast-hello. Enabling fast-hello is not distuptive.
