4506 to 4503-e sup iv migration not powering on

I am working with a customer who is migrating from 4503 and 4506 classic to 4503-E chassis.

I have not had any issues migrating from the 4503 classic chassis to the 4503-E chassis

I experienced an issue when attempting to migrate from the 4506 chassis to the 4503-E chassis. The Supervisor Engine IV would not power up when moved to the 4503-E. The LED does not light up and there is no output to the console. I have tried two different 4503-E chassis.

It is the same Supervisor model, IOS version and power supply. The Supervisor and lines cards work fine when I moved them back to the 4506 chassis.

Running release  12.2(37)SG.

Any ideas????

I hope you won't get upset with this answer ...

4500E will, according to the two conflicting data sheet, will only take Supervisor 6E/6LE.
