Hello,
I'd like to get check my understanding of HA and back plane capabilities of this platform. Scenario:
One 4507R+E with dual SUP7-E in SSO mode; Version 03.08.00.E
Two 10G uplinks, one per SUP connected to two separate WS-C3750X-24T-S with C3KX-NM-10G; Version 12.2(55)SE1
Diagram attached.
The desired intention is to have traffic flow from both 3750's back to the 4507.
Questions:
1. Will this work?
2. Will this work if one of the SUP's fails?
Thanks,
Shawn

Then, in that case, you can only connect each switch using one 10G port unless you have a 10Gig module you can use.

Hi,
Yes, it should work fine. A better design would be to connect each 3750 to both sups on the 4500 since this sup comes with 4 10Gig port. So, one Portchannel with 2 links connecting one 3750 to both sups and another Portchannel with 2 links connecting the other 3750 to both sups. This gives you complete redundancy in case of a sup or link failure.

Thanks for the response, good suggestion, however port one on each sup will be connected to redundant firewalls.
