Hi all,

I will moving from 4510 SupV to 4510 sup8-e equipment, at same time moving from 1Gb Uplink to 10Gb Uplink

On the new Sup8-e is possible to mix Gig and Ten uplink interface?

I need to configure something like:

Gig6/1 old-uplink

Te6/2 new-uplink

In the old Sup the 2 configuration are exclusive, I need to use the commend "hw-module uplink select"

In the new Sup8e is the same or it depends only from the SFP inserted?

Thanks

Valerio

Hi,

Looking at the specification my understanding is you can use any of them and it should work according to the SFP you put it in. But there are some restriction if you use all uplinks, interms of 10th slot in the chassis that it can take only 47xx modules.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,

Madhu.
