All,
We have just received a 4900M switch and I am unfamiliar with this model. I am wondering if someone could guide me in setting up the management port for access via the Cisco Network Assistant?
I have the IP info setup and I can ping the switch but the CNA throws an error when trying to connect.
Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not familiar with this model either but why not try CLI?
conf t
interface VLAN 1
ip address
no shutdown
end

Hope this helps.

The 4900M is a bit tricky since the force vrf policies on the switch. This is my recommendation:
Switch# ping vrf mgmtVrf ip address
an example is "ping vrm mgmtVrf 20.20.20.20" (or whatever IP you are looking for)
Trace Routing is the same thing...
"traceroute vrf mgmtVrf 20.20.20.20"
Remember that the vrf (name of vrf) is cap sensitive. So it must match the exact syntax you have setup. By default, 4900Ms use mgmtV(cap V)rf.
I really cant help you with the GUI Network assistant but I can help with CLI.
