6509-E Sup 2T Flexible Netflow

Va.8427

we have a Cat6500 (6509-E Sup 2T) with hardware and software configurations below

- c6800-32p10G

- WS-SVC-NAM3-K9

- s2t54-adventerprisek9-mz.SPA.152-1.SY1.bin

We've ran flexible netflow as following :

flow exporter MyExport
Destination [NAM ip] vrf mgt
export-protocol netflow-v9
transport udp 3000
--------
Flow monitor MyMonitor
exporter MyExporter
record platform-original ipv4 source
---------
interface vlan X
ip flow monitor MyMonitor input

We never received netflow traffic on NAM but  there were no any other problems until we removed "ip flow monitor MyMonitor input" from interface vlan. The 10G module was reloaded and Now, it frequently generates the following log :

%COMMON_FIB-3-BROKER_ENCODE: Flow Mon broker failed to encode msg type 15 for slot(s) 1/0 (0x2)
-Traceback= 637A9A4z 8DE6D38z 41C69DCz 4311AA0z 43128E4z 430C944z 5493728z 548DBD4z

Note that: slot 1/0 is c6800-32p10G module. We've found  no result for above error on the Internet.

does anyone encounter such problem??

Regards

Hi Vahid

we have exactly the same problem in our environment. The 10G module rebooted and after that the following error displays every 30 second:

COMMON_FIB-3-BROKER_ENCODE: Flow Mon broker failed to encode msg type 15

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi

tracebacks usually  indicate a software bug

-you could run the show tech through the cli analyser see if it gives you a bug id

-check the release notes for your version see if its listed there under current caveats

-or log it with TAC get them to confirm the Id

Hi mark

Due to some international limitation we are not able to run cli analyzer tools.

I wonder if anyone has faced this problem before.

Thanks

Hi there is a section for cli analyser in the forum you could report that its not working from your location , I haven't seen that in any of our current HQ regions yet US/EMEA/India and Singapore it works from there no issues as we have jumpboxes in each region that have it installed on windows
