Hello All,

Bit confused with output of show flash and show boot where is actual image used why it says slot0 in Boot and show version has image

'bootflash:BTSYNC_cat6000-supk8.7-6-10.bin

----------------

(enable) sh flash

-#- ED --type-- --crc--- -seek-- nlen -length- -----date/time------ name

  1 .. ffffffff bdfea4c9  a32d14   31 10431636 Jun 06 2005 13:48:47 BTSYNC_cat6000-supk8.7-6-10.bin

EBRSW012> (enable)

----------------

(enable) sh boot

BOOT variable = bootflash:BTSYNC_cat6000-supk8.7-6-10.bin,1;slot0:ebrsw010\cat6000-supk8.7-6-10.bin,1;

Hi Amit,

Try the following:

clear boot system flash slot0:ebrsw010\cat6000-supk8.7-6-10.bin

Regards

Richard

Thansk Richard for reply please advise if this is service impacting command or only does refresh , also is there reboot required after this command ?

Regards

Amit

Hi Amit,

This command is not service impacting.

I just clear out the second (wrong) boot variable. After the command show boot should just show the correct bootflash: entry. A reboot isn't needed for that, but maybe you have to save the config to see the change under show boot.

Regards

Richard

Thanks Richard , It seems to   be working One query so "bootflash" is just name of a name remane of name of image or or is it a directory

(enable) sh flash

-#- ED --type-- --crc--- -seek-- nlen -length- -----date/time------ name

  1 .. ffffffff bdfea4c9  a32d14    9 10431636 Jun 14 2005 12:42:44 bootflash

5559020 bytes available (10431764 bytes used)

> (enable) sh boot

BOOT variable = bootflash:bootflash,1;

CONFIG_FILE variable = bootflash:switch.cfg

Configuration register is 0x2

ignore-config: disabled

auto-config: non-recurring, overwrite, sync disabled

ROMMON console baud: 9600

boot: image specified by the boot system commands

could you post the output of:

dir bootflash:

I think this should also work under catos.

Regards

Richard

Please find output below

> (enable) dir bootflash:

-#- -length- -----date/time------ name

  1 10431636 Jun 14 2005 12:42:44 bootflash
