I am having trouble connecting to a Cisco 7201 by the AUX port with a modem. The modem is a US Robotics 56K plugged into AUX port and I am dialing into the modem. It connects and then I am prompted with our banner and login prompt but I cannot type anything. After a few seconds it will display some characters that almost look like an initialization string. I have tried lots of different things, including changing speed, autoconfigure types, different modems, different phone lines, etc.
Current config is
line aux 0
exec-timeout 15 0
password 7 *************
logging synchronous
modem InOut
modem autoconfigure type usr_sportster
history size 100
no editing
stopbits 1
speed 115200
flowcontrol hardware
I have searched and searched on google and came across some that have had similar issues with 7201 but never any fixes. We probably have close to a hundred 2600, 2800, 3700, and 3800 that do not have this issue. We only have 2 7201s and they both have the same issue.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
