8700W enhanced AC power supply with Cisco 6513 chassis

Hi All,

I understand that 8700W enhanced AC power supply is Compatible with 6-, 9-, and 13- slot chassis

Based on 8700W Enhanced PS datasheet, it can be installed into existing Cisco Catalyst 6500 Series Switch chassis: both E- and non-E series Cisco Catalyst 6500 Series Switch chassis.

Can we use 8700W enhanced AC power supply with 6513 externally / internally (within one of the chassis slots like 6513-E ?

Could you clarify what you mean by "externally / internally (within one of the chassis slots"? As you stated the 8700w power supply can be used with any 6506, 6509 or 6513 chassis, E or non-E. However in the non E switches it can only provide 4000w of power to 06 and 09 or 6000w power to 13.
