891 IOS ugprade

Hi,

I have one router 891 with IOS c890-universalk9-mz.124-22.YB.bin and license. License Level: advipservices   Type: Permanent

Because i'm experiencing some "freezes"  i would like to experiment another IOS image, for example 124.22YB8 .

In this case do i have to backup license and then apply them again? If yes, how can i backup license and then restore license with new ios Image?

And in case if i upgrade  to an 15.X image?

It seems you can upgrade it to 15.0[1]m directly. See the below link for more information.

Regarding license, by default, a universal image with Advanced IP Services feature license

Thanks for your quick answer.

I've checked the link you posted and  i saw in a table:

First Cisco IOS Software Release

12.4(22)YB and will be in 15.0[1]m. S890VK9-12422YB

So this mean that i could upgrade to 15.0[1]m with this license?
