9300 power stacking

I have quick question about Cisco 9300 switch stacking---I have one switch already in production and now I will be adding a 2nd one in stack. Does it matter how I connect  power stack cables? I see yellow and green ends on power stack cables.

Can I connect Green/Yellow on top switch and Yellow/Green in bottom one?

yes set the switch to priority 15 and save the config, upgrade the IOS and reboot to take effective new IOS.

make sure stacking rule all switch model should support and run same IOS code.

thanks for your precise answer

thank you...

Could you please answer one more question---I am about to install 2nd cisco 9300 switch and make a stack.  My SW 1 doesn't have correct version of ios so I have already tftp correct ios for SW1 and now it just needs 'reload'. Currently, the priority for SW 1 is set to 1 and I want to change it to 15 and give SW 2 14 value. Can I do the following----

switch 1 priority 15

reload

confirm-Yes

Do I have copy run start-config after changing priority value? what would be correct way of doing this work so my SW 1 gets priority 15 and gets the correct ios version? Thanks for your help

I don't think it matters:

Step 1

Remove the dust covers from the StackPower cable connectors.

Step 2

Connect the end of the cable with a green band to either StackPower port on the first switch. Align the connector correctly, and insert it into a StackPower port on the switch rear panel.

Step 3

Connect the end of the cable with the yellow band to another switch (to configure StackPower power sharing).

Step 4

Hand-tighten the captive screws to secure the StackPower cable connectors in place.

Caution
Removing and installing the StackPower cable can shorten its useful life. Do not remove and insert the cable more often than is absolutely necessary.
