access switches connectivity

A branch office with a router, a 3560 and 3 2924-XL. They are daisy-chained from each other for user access, with no server at the office. Is it better to connect all the C2924s into the C3560? Does it matter? Any advantages?

I would say it's a better design starring them off the 3560 even though it would work fine the way it is . Less hops to the router ,simplified design and easier troubleshooting.

This is indeed a better topology. The main advantage is that you are reducing the effect of a failure of one of the 2924's. In the current configuration this will bring down everything after the failed switch. With the proposed setup it is just one switch that loses connectivity.

You are also reducing the number of hops in the spanning tree so that it will stabilize faster and, even more important, will be more stable.
