Hi.

Tried with command: archive download-sw /force-reload /overwrite tftp:// ....

Looks like overwrite wont do the trick? Or what i do wrong?

It doesn't matter. Use the MODE button method.
Put the AP and the TFTP server in the same VLAN. That's all.
The MODE button method is meant to be foolproof. A lot of people have used this process without any issues.

Maybe from console connection, format flash and then load it with autonomous image?

Yes i did it. Erase flash: command.

But now i cant type any commands on console. It wont regognize anythint i type. Debug capwap console cli wont do anything.

Was the AP rebooted anytime after the flash was erased, but before an replacement IOS was loaded?

Hmm, it's been a while, but I now recall there might be more involved change a LWAP to WAP, or the converse. I do not recall Cisco has documentation for doing conversions (at least from WAP to LWAP, which I needed to do once).

No there is now nothing. Erase flash: was a bad move from me lol.

Now there is only a bootloader. It wont understand anything i type. Even enable dont work. Default ip is now 10.0.0.1. So does it try to download xxxx.tar.default when mode button boot has done?

If i configure my pc 255.255.255.255 and start tftp server with autonomous image renamed tar.default so would it download it?

I had switch between ap and my pc. Now it dont work anymore because i cant set default gateway anymore on ap.

Perhaps, time to read the manual.

Hope it doesn't require a WLC to get it back.

If the autonomous IOS is available then my recommendation is to format the flash of the AP and then convert the AP using the "Mode" button:  Using a TFTP Server to Return to a Previous Release

Am i getting this right. Manual say i hace to conf tftp server to a range of 10.0.0.2 -10.0.0.30. Ap def ip is 10.0.0.1. But when ap boots up it search ip 255.255.255.255 tftp-server.

Is that 255.255.255.255 ip some broadcast address search?

That is correct.

One question. Can i do this via switch poe-port? Or does ap need to connect to a power suply and connect it directly to pc?

PoE will do as long as the instructions are followed correctly.

But if ap have ip 10.0.0.1 and my pc 10.0.0.3 and poe switch 192.168.1.1. How can i configure default gateway on ap? Or do i change switch ip example 10.0.0.5? Looks like that ap netmask is 255.255.255.254 so pc and switch have to be same?

Awesome. Thanks alot. Thanks thanks.
Now new question. How can i log in GUI.? Difficulties to find ip address. Show int say BVI1 ip is unassigned. So how can i find Ap ip?

Console into the AP and manually assign an IP address or enable DHCP on your network.
