hi,

I bought new Cisco Aironet 702. I have problem with configuration. I can't access to configure terminal option or to web setup. Below is startup screens from Aironet. There are few errors during startup process:

no ip http server

       ^

% Invalid input detected at '^' marker.

%Error opening flash:/ap1g1-rcvk9w8-mx/info (No such file or  directory)cisco AIR-CAP702I-E-K9 (MIPS74k) processor (revision 01) with  73728K/57344K bytes of memory.

I accessed to exec mode using default login and password but I couldn't access to configure terminal options. Why Cisco doesn't recognize this command?

I have the same problem .

I can login to the CAP702i through the console port, but can't get access to the "Configuration terminal" commands.

I am thinking the the Flash file "ap1g1-rcvk9w8-mx.152-4.JA" is the issue.

I have downloaded an updated file from the Cisco web site, but with not way to install it, I can't determine if it is what's causing the problem.

I connected the CAP702i to a DHCP server, and it is pulling a valid IP, but I am unable to Telnet, browse or use Network Assistant to access the GUI setup.

I am able to ping the CAP702i, but that's about extent of it functionality so far.

Hi Buddy

Did you find a fix to this? I have the exact same problem on a 702W

Kamran

The problem was that I purchased the wrong model:

CAP702I  - CAP = Controller based Access Point.

SAP702I   - SAP = Standalone Access Point.

Either return the CAP model for a SAP model or you need to download and update the firmware

for a SAP702i.

The proper firmware can be found on the Cisco Support site. (link below)

The file I used : ag1g1-k9w7-tar.152-4.JB5.tar

http://software.cisco.com/download/release.html?mdfid=284741752&softwareid=284180979&os=&release=15.2.4-JB5&relind=AVAILABLE&rellifecycle=&reltype=latest&i=!pp

You will need to connect the AP702 to a DHCP server so it can grab a IP address.

Install the Cisco HTTP program to update the Firmware, and reboot the AP702.

Hi

I have the same Issue, can you explain what is the Cisco HTTP program?

The AP is always renewing the IP using DHCP because it doesn't find a WLC.

Thank you

Best Regards

I will attach the configuration manual I used to transfer the new firmware file.

scg15_2_4_JB3a.pdf

The commands are pretty vague in the manual, and if you are not familiar the command structure, I would contact Cisco support.

You will need to install the TFTP server and have the firmware file before contacting support.
