Amount of groups ID in HSRP

Hello, I need configure HSRP in two switches 6500 in VSS and 4500. My question is how many groups ID support these switches because I have many vlans in my network and I need HSRP for them all.

The switches are:

Switch model: WS-C6509-E      Supervisor: VS-S720-10G       

IOS: 12.2(33)SXI4a

Switch model: WS-C4506-E       Supervisor: WS-X45-SUP6L-E

IOS: 12.2(53)SG2

You get 255 with HSRP version 1, 4096 with version 2. Plus some timer tweaks.

It appears that your Software is v2 capable.

Thanks for the help, I see some configurations that the interfaces have the same group ID in the configuration of HSRP that is correct?
