This message indicates that a VTP pruning message is triggered on the trunk because of a VLAN status change; 15/1 is the module number/port number.

This message is provided for information only.

It appears you have your syslog level at 6 for VTP Pruning messages. I would simply just lower the level to 5 for these specific messages since they are only informational. Doing this will make them go away.

Issue the following configuration command:

Console> (enable) set logging level pruning 5 default

thank you for your help.. the info you provided helped

Hello,

Hello,

port 15/1 is the port to MSFC and you have a Cat6509 in hybrid mode.

You probably have some Vlans that are defined on the L2 supervisor that haven't a L3 counterpart on your MSFC (an SVI VLan X)

so VTP is pruning the link 15/1 for these vlans.

This is the meaning of this message

for VTP on CatOS

Hope to help

Giuseppe
