Daer Networkers,
I have about (12x) AS 5350 XM installed in a remote site. I would like to know their serial numbers (the one on the sticket outside the AS) I know that this SN begins with JMX and contains 11 characters. When telnetting those AS, and type the following commands : show inventory, show hardware, show version, show diag.. i can't find those serial numbers. I can find others which begins with JAE !
Can you please advise ?
Thanks in advance.
Best Regards.

There has been support for commands to display serial number of cards for a longer time. Support for commands that display serial number of the chassis is much more recent. My memory is that the 5350 did not have a command to display the chassis serial number. I believe that you will need to get someone at the remote site to physically examine the 5350s and to read the serial numbers to you.

I found one way to learn serial number AS5350XM with remote commands .
1) show inventory as usual
2) look at last string
NAME: "E1_3", DESCR: "E1 4 PRI DFC, HwVer#: 2.7"
PID: , VID: , SNXXXXXXXXX
3) go http://www.cisco.com/web/services/ordering/cscc/index.html
4) Launch Cisco Service Contract Center
as usual
5) search CSCC, select "Serial number" put SN from last string (SN of module E1) and press "go"
6) You have serial number chassis with this module

That is a very interesting solution. +5 for you
