ASA 5505 - System is up to date

I have seen this on 4 ASA devices:

At devices running older versions than 8.4(5) it is possible to update to 9.1.1 but after updating to 8.4(5) the devices tells me that "There are no upgrades available, your system is up to date" when I "Check for ASA/ASDM updates". I downgraded one device to 8.4.4 and tried to upgrade to 9.1.1 but the update was unsuccesfull (could not boot).

have you tried writing the new ios file to the flash?

When I upgraded the ios on my 5505 I just did it from the cli by copying over the new file via ftp and deleteing the old one.

You may also have to update the ASDM. Read the release notes to know for sure.
