Autonomous-system ASN could be duplicated in EIGRP with VRF?

Hi Experts.

My customer is using EIGRP and they also use VRF in address-family in IOS-XE (4500-X) like below.

router eigrp 65200

address-family ipv4 vrf VRF1

autonomous-system 1

address-family ipv4 vrf VRF2

autonomous-system 1

Question is, Could it be possible to use the same ASN in the different VRF?

So, is thier any effect on their network when we set the EIGRP like above?

And if it is , what would be a cisco recommadation when we use it?

I think that it would not be a harmful to my customer site since it is using different VRF table but I want to know the detailed information from you so please help me.

Best Regards,

Jungwo

Jungwo Hong,

My apologies for the delay in response. After consulting with Cisco experts, they advised that it is best if you follow configuration guides and CVDs. Some links are listed below for your reference:

I hope this helps. Thank you for participating in the community.
