Since Avaya phones do not run CDP, how does the phone know which DHCP pool to pull from to get its IP address if the PC is connected to the phone.
Let's say I have a interface config like this
interface gigabitethernet1/0/1
cisco3750(config-if)#switchport mode trunk
cisco3750(config-if)#switchport access vlan 126
cisco3750(config-if)#switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q
cisco3750(config-if)#switchport trunk voice vlan 124
cisco3750(config-if)#switchport trunk allowed vlan 124-126
cisco3750(config-if)#switchport trunk native vlan 126
cisco3750(config-if)#srr-queue bandwidth share 10 10 60 20
cisco3750(config-if)#srr-queue bandwidth shape 10 0 0 0
cisco3750(config-if)#queue-set 2
cisco3750(config-if)#mls qos trust cos
cisco3750(config-if)#auto qos voip trust
cisco3750(config-if)#spanning-tree portfast
And two DHCP scopes configured on the switch.
What keeps the phone from pulling from the wrong scope?

Since you are not using Cisco phones, you need to enable LLDP.

We used the dhcp option. It knew which vlan because it was set in the dhcp scope for the data side
