Dear Sir,
Can we write a “rate-limit output “rate-limit input†command in Cisco Switch for restricting bandwidth to 512kbps 0r 256Kbps per port in below model switch instead of “policy map†?
Model: ws-3750G-24T-S
IOS: c3750-advipservicesK9-Mz.122-25-25.SEE4.bin

Hello Mahesh,
CAR rate-limit is a router feature that had been introduced before modular QoS.
if your device supports modular QoS using police command within a policy-map that is the way to do this.
Hope to help

If I'm reading the your IOS verison's "Unsupported Commands" (http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/switches/lan/catalyst3750/software/release/12.2_25_see/configuration/guide/swuncli.html) correctly, rate-limit appears to be unsupported.
