Are these switches brand new with default (no)configuration on them?
Do you have a cisco rollover (blue) cable to connect to them locally through the console port?

Hi
You have not mentioned that what types of switches u have.Though
(1)What u need is a Cisco console cable and a PC with terminal emulation software like HyperTerminal/Teraterm etc.
(2)Connect the console port of the swith to the COM port of the PC with 9600/8/none/1/none (hope u know)
(3)Start the switch. After all the loading, you will get the command prompt.
(4)Go to the Global Configuration mode, which is typically like following:
Switch>enable
Switch#config terminal
Switch(config)#
(5)Copy the config. which you have by opening it in notepad
(6)Paste it to the Emulation Software
(7)After it save the config and you are ready to go.
If its menu based CLI, then the config will be different. It would have helped if you have mentioned the series.
If any probs. come back
Regards
