Hi Everyone !
Yesterday we had a segment of our network that stopped working and prevent anything on that vlan to connect to any services, i.e. DHCP, LAN, Internet, etc...
After a full 24 hours of troubleshooting, came to find out that a device in our network had a bad NIC, which eventually took the entire segment down. How do I prevent this from occurring again, I have a CISCO 3750 switch.
Here is the default configuration on all our switchports:
interface GigabitEthernet xxx
switchport access vlan xxx
switchport mode access
switchport port-security violation restrict
switchport port-security mac-address sticky
switchport port-security
spanning-tree portfast
Thanks in advance!
