Hello Experts,

Is there an intuitive way to extrapolate what features a customers is running on a router / switch without actually sifting through a "show run" for a given platform? Are there any automated tools or applications that might help with this?

If you wanted to perform a bug scrub for a large enterprise environment where the core, distribution and access layer devices and configurations are not standardized, and there are several different platform types.

Would you (a) still perform the bug scrub on a per platform basis or (b) need to evaluate devices individually?

Depends on the technical skills of your staff.  We've been pulling this kind of information (and more) regularly by using SNMP.  All you need is someone who's familiar with Linux and SNMP and you're good to go.
