Are 2 2 PCs in the same subnet? , are the 2 ports in the same VLAN ---> sh int x/xswitchport
Does the vlan exist on the switch ---> sh vlan br
If the 2 PCs are in 2 different subnets then the ports must be in different VLANs and in that case you need routing to communicate between them.
I think 2960 can now do intervlan routing but it must be confirmed, if this is the case then you must enable ip routing, give ip address to each SVI( or interface Vlan) otherwise you'll need a L3 device like a 3560 switch or a router to do the intervlan routing.
