Hi,

I have C3560 switches in my work environment. I want configure ssh on that switch but the IOS what they have 'c3560e-universal-mz.122-58.SE2' not support. As per advised I was triying to upgrade 'c3560e-universalk9-mz.122-58.SE2" for all my access switches.

I successfully upgraded for two switches.

I have two problems now

01. I upgraded the IOS successfully one Switch but the Poe is not working. What is the reason ?

02. After upgrade the IOS, the out put is as follows

Switch   Ports  Model              SW Version              SW Image

------   -----  -----              ----------              ----------

*    1   30     WS-C3560E-24PD     12.2(35)SE5             C3560E-UNIVERSAL-M

Cisco#sh boot sys

c3560e-universalk9-mz.122-58.SE2.bin

Cisco#sh flash:

Directory of flash:/

    2  -rwx         856   Mar 1 1993 03:00:54 +03:00  vlan.dat

    3  -rwx        2917  Nov 25 2012 09:00:26 +03:00  dhcpbind

    4  -rwx        4120  Nov 21 2012 15:30:08 +03:00  multiple-fs

    5  drwx         512   Mar 1 1993 03:23:29 +03:00  c3560e-universal-mz.122-35.SE5

  463  -rwx       19540  Nov 21 2012 15:30:08 +03:00  config.text

  464  -rwx    17940526  Nov 21 2012 15:27:31 +03:00  c3560e-universalk9-mz.122-58.SE2.bin

  465  -rwx         115  Nov 21 2012 15:30:08 +03:00  private-config.text

The system boot IOS showing upgraded IOS but in the sh ver showing old IOS.

Please advise how to resolve this?

Thanks and Regards,

Hi,

Does your boot statement look like this:

boot system flash:c3560e-universalk9-mz.122-58.SE2.bin

Can you post "sh run | inc boot system"

HTH

Hi Reza

The boot system flash showing empty. But showing boot sysytem file.

Please find teh output.

cisco#sh run | i bootsysytem

cisco#sh run | b bootsysytem

cisco#sh boo sys

cisco#sh boo sys

c3560e-universalk9-mz.122-58.SE2.bin

Try this command:  delete /f /r flash:c3560e-universal-mz.122-35.SE5

Reboot.

or you can also boot with below commands -

1. use command for OLD IOS which will unboot an OLD IOS

no boot system flash:c3560e-universal-mz.122-35.SE5.bin ==============> OLD IOS

2. then use command for new IOS, also for OLD IOS in case new IOS face any error then it will failover to OLD one

boot systmem flash:c3560e-universalk9-mz.122-58.SE2.bin ==============> NEW IOS

boot system flash:c3560e-universal-mz.122-35.SE5.bin ===============> OLD IOS
