C3850-NM-8-10G Unsupported After IOS Update

I have a WS-C3850-12X48U with a C3850-NM-8-10G module installed and has been working with no issues. Recently we updated the IOS from 9.16.06.06 to 9.6.12.03a. Cisco says this is their most stable release at the moment.

Before the upgrade there was no issue the module has been working. After the upgrade the module is now notating it is: %PLATFORM_PM-6-FRULINK_UNKNOWN_INSERTED: Unsupported FRU module inserted in slot 1

Any one help me figure out what is going on before I downgrade?

Not that verion you mentioned reported any bug, but if this is effecting production environment, (collect all the logs required) and roll back and contact TAC.

- Look for additional errors if any from a cold-boot, with a console attached and scrutinize the output. Also have a look at show inventory and show tech-support (watch for suspicious info if obtained).
