Hi,
Could you help me. We have two 4506 in VSS with IOS 3.05.03E (15.2(1)E3) and we have this message :
%C4K_SUPERVISOR-2-SOFTERROR: memory inconsistency detected: 0x0003
In the "bug search" we found this message and it is recommended to upgrade.
Before to upgrade, i would like to know the impact.
Thank for your help,

You should be able to minimize impact by doing an issu upgrade , see the link below explains it for 4500 series

Hi,
thank for your response but my question it's the impact now because we can't do an upgrade immediately. What problem can we meet since this period ?
Thank.

If there is a memory problem and a process on the switch tries to use the affected memory, then there could be issues ,but the bug is marked as cosmetic which means there is most likely no actual impact to the device but you will keep getting those alerts until you upgrade to a fixed release
