All,
I have been attempting to set up policy based routing on a borrowed 9200 24 port Switch. Initially I was following the IOS XE Gibraltar 16.10.01 IP Routing Guide. I set up an Access Control List, then a Route Map, and attempted to apply it to an interface. However, when I attempted the command 'ip policy route-map pbr-map', I had a marker under policy with the statement 'invalid input detected at marker'. When trying 'ip ?' as a command, there was no entry for policy.
After checking the Cisco Feature Navigator, it showed that version 16.10.01 for the 9200 switch did not support PBR, but that 16.11.01 did. I upgraded the switch to 16.11.01 successfully, but when I repeated the operation of applying the Route Map to an interface, I got the same error message.
As far as I can tell from the Feature Navigator, and the Switch data sheet, this switch should support this feature - it is listed under Switch Fundamentals for both Network Essentials and Advantage. I have followed the instructions in the documentation too, but cannot complete this step. So have I missed a previous step?
Thanks in advance,
Gary.

Hi, Gary,
Is the port L3 or L2? In the latter case make it L3 via 'no switchport' command

Hi Gary,
What is the license on the switch?
May times PBR is an advanced feature and may require network advantage license.

I have not set up any licensing on the switch. I did not use the GUI to set the switch up, as the person I borrowed the switch from had had problems when trying it themselves. So all the setup I have done has been via CLI.
show license all gives the following:

Gary,
The output really does not tell you much about the license you have.
Can you try:
show license right-to-use
Either way, you need to install the permanent license you paid for and than determine what features works and what not.
