I do know many of them used with the RISK, and failure domain was high and you  need to replace depends on business you looking to deploy.

You need to consider your risk vs availabliyt to deployment of the devices, if that is the requirement need to look for right choice of models.

If those works as expected in the head, why do they have industrial switches ?

Not enough info:

1.  How many switches in a rack?

2.  How many power supplies installed (per switch) per rack?

3.  How "big" are the power supplies?

4.  Does the rack have free airflow?

5.  Obstruction(s) to 5 sides of the rack?

6.  Dust condition inside and outside of the rack?

7.  What is the exact model of the switches?

8.  Other than the switch/switches, what other equipment are found inside the rack?

But has anyone ever used these kind of switches without any air conditioning system?
